This was our first current sensitive dive and we timed it perfectly! The visibility was great (20-25ft+) for most of the dive. You can check vis by walking out on the jetty and looking down. The site is laid out very nice for all experience levels with rope leading from feature to feature. The Dolphin is a feature you can swim thru with ample room and enough to look at for the entire dive. The deep line(s) are directly east of the dolphin and drop quickly. One line is on the floor and the other is elevated about three feet. Lots of small aquatic life to view on the descent if you look closely. Once you reach the small wall and logs at 80-100ft there is a third line that runs north-northeast (30 degrees) back to 50-65ft where the barge rests. The barge is a very dilapidated but still maintains enough structure to tell what it is. We were told there is a sailboat wreck atop the barge but must have only seen the lower of the two pieces of the barge itself(bottom time). The rocks that make up the jetty have lots of variety in way of life and make for a pleasant swim back towards shore. Even the safety stop offered entertainment in the eel grass and other plant life. Never seen so many painted greenlings at one given site before. Also saw baby wolf eels, pricklebacks, schools of rockfish, sculpin, nudibranch, ect... A big thumbs up for this site !!!
