The Seattle Aquarium beautifully maintains an impressive collection of local marine life displays including hands on tide pools, fish, mammal and bird exhibits plus a variety of tropical displays. It boasts itís newly added Window on Washington Waters exhibit, a 120,000 gallon aquarium that has regularly scheduled divers that feed the fish and answer questions. The aquarium is a good place to be exposed to the local marine inhabitants, get a close up view of some common or less come critters, practice your marine life ID, or volunteer your time and enthusiasm.

FYI- You can get decent photos of fish and animals within aquariums by placing the lens of the camera against the glass. This will reduce flash and other reflections.
