5 Rock fingers sticking out into Jetty Structures, Boulder Pile / Shelves
Sandy bottom between the fingers and if you are out past the fingers the bottom is more shelly. The fingers extend out into the jetty and are the main diving feature. The fingers are make up of riprap rocks.
Good area to spearfish for rock fish. If you like to take pictures, the vis is usually pretty low 5 to 8 feet.
Make sure to check your tides before diving the fingers, you can drift between fingers on the incoming tide and as you get to know the site and more experience you can drift the outgoing tide. Watch the tidal swing if its larger you will move fast. Swings more then 4 feet will tend to have very poor vis.
How to get there:
A lot of people just dive one finger per dive, out one side in on the other. Rock fish tend to hang towards the top of the rocks.
South over the Newport Bridge, First Right after Bridge. Make a Left on Jetty Way and follow into park area. Pick a finger
