Water Fall , Wall, Large Rock Formation / Pinnacle
Diving under a waterfall is different. Water is 19' at the deepest part, Vis 50' + good dive to clean your gear.
Nice one tank dive and BBQ spot.
Watch the flow over the falls and be aware of hydraulics. Flow was pretty good when we went and we could sit on the bottom and see the falls hitting the water above us.
Walk down to the falls is 100 yards or so, and a few stairs to walk down, not in the best shape.
How to get there:
On I-5 exit onto Hwy 22 and head east towards Stayton
In 22 miles - at second yellow light just east of Mehama - turn left onto North Fork Road SE
At 13.6 miles distance turn right into Salmon Falls Park. Picnic tables and a vault toilet are available. The falls is located down a path to the left. It is day use / no fee.
Good place to get your feet wet - or anything else for that matter.
