Large Rock Formation / Pinnacle
This site has lots of cool cracks and crevises. We have seen greenlings, lingcod, mosshead warbonnets, copper rockfish, red irish lords, candy stripe shrimp, several types of anemones, orange cup coral , urchins, cucumbers, rock scallops and more. It is a fairly steep site.
Best on a slack but can be done on some floods. As you go down the slope/wall you may not feel much current but toward the end the current will tend to want to take you off the rocks so you will be doing your safety stop in green water.
How to get there:
Boat access only. Friday Harbor and Fish Creek are the closest harbors. Live boat only. This site is a rock just inside of cattle pass off San Juan island. There is a small boat harbor called Fish Creek, just south of here. Drop on the west side of the rock in less than 20' of water and follow the rock down.
