Features

Large Rock Formation / Pinnacle, Kelp Forest

Description

This is a large pinnacle/seamount that never reaches the surface. There is a nice kelp forrest on the top and drops off rapidly. Typical san juans life, invertabrates, rockfish, ling cod, octopus, puget sound king crab.

Special Restrictions:

This site is only diveable on a slack current on a light exchange day. Show up early and wait for the current to slack. If the current has already turned - go elsewhere.

How to get there:

Boat access only. This site is North and West of a channel marker in the middle of San Juan Channel. The marker is in deep water. Find the kelp field north and west of the marker and enter there. You can go any direction from the entry.
