At the south end of the lake there are petrified tree's that are over 1000 years old. On the SW shore there is a lava formation by the creek that flows to Fish Lake. There is a small plateau that you can access by boat or a long surface swim across the lake. There is a cool wall and canyon that goes way down below 200 feet. There are lots of lava formations and vents. Bright green algae grows around the bigger vents.

The bottom is silty so stay several feet above the floor of the lake. High altitude dive over 3500 above sea level. Water temp 40-42 degrees. 7/8mm wetsuit or dry suit is a must.
