Hood Canal Pinnacle | USA: Pacific Northwest
Dabob Bay, Brinnon, Washington
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Aquatic Life: 5
Large Rock Formation / Pinnacle
The top of the Hood Canal Pinnacle lies 20'-30' from the surface depending on tides and extends to over 100'. The top of the mount is a large, spacious flat area making a convenient staging place for divers to begin and end their dive. Descend to your desired depth (not much to see below 70') and search the rocky crevices and dens as work your way back up, spiraling around the sea mount toward the flat-top and then ascend your anchor line.
The site is void of any sheer drops thus making it an ideal place for less experienced divers while advanced divers may want to explore greater depths.
Beware of fishing boats and derelict line and lures.
How to get there:
It can be difficult to locate without a GPS and depth finder. The Sea Mount is located about 1/3 mile south of Wawa point. The surface of the sea mount is over 50' wide.

|Wow, awesome clear skies made for nice ambient light underater. Saw 4 species of Rock fish, large school of vermillion rock fish two single wolf eels, giant 4-5 feet long Ling Cod, white nudibranch, sea stars, just so much life @ one dive location simply fantastic!|
|This was my second dive @ this site within a month's time and both times were amazing. I went with Pacific Adventures out of Plesant harbor Marina dive charter. Awesome service. Mile post 309 highway 101.|
|There was a small buoy marking the Sea Mount today making it easy to locate. |
