Diamondback Nudibranch  (Tritonia Festiva)

Also called a Festive Triton or Festive Nudibranch, these beautiful nudibranchs can be easily recognized by their largely transparent bodies with white line markings along the top, often with diamond shapes down the center of their backs, and white gills. Adults tend to lose the diamond shaped markings found on the juveniles. They are usually seen cruising sandy substrates for soft corals such as sea pens, which they eat. Young one may be found on more substantial reef structure preying upon red corals. Often, you can see a red or pink hue through their bodies from their last meal.
