Great White Shark  (Carcharodon carcharias)

Great white sharks live in almost all coastal and offshore waters which have a water temperature of between 54 to 75 F, with greater concentrations off the southern coasts of Australia, South Africa, California, Mexico's Isla Guadalupe and to a degree in the Central Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas, often in areas of dense sealion populations. A typical adult grows 13-16 long with large ones growing up to 20. Most encounters between these sharks and SCUBA divers happens from behind the safety of a cage.
