Misc. Sculpin  (Superfamily Cottoidea)

Most Sculpin are small fish with large heads and have their eyes perched high on their head. Marine Sculpin typically inhabit the tide pool zone near shore and many have a tendency to return to a “home pool”. Sculpin are tremendously hardy, tolerating a wide variety of salinity and temperatures, and many can change colors to blend into the background. There are also species of freshwater Sculpin.
